Skoda develops a five-door compartment of a golf class

Within the next several years company Skoda plans to expand the lineup from five to seven cars, informs British edition Autocar referring to not named source. The five-door compartment of a golf class becomes one of novelties, the project on which working out has already been approved by a firm management, and designers prepare full-scale breadboard models of the car.

Five-door compartment Skoda will be constructed on platform Octavia and begins to be equipped atmospheric and a turbo-petrol with engines of small volume, and also robotised transmissions DSG with two couplings.

It is expected, that the five-door compartment will take in a modelling number a place between cars Fabia and Octavia following generation. The novelty will appear on sale in 2012 or 2013. The version of subcompact car VW Up becomes one more new model Skoda!.
Such car will be issued in three-and five-door updatings and begins to be offered with 1,0 and 1,2-litre petrol motors. Release of this model will begin at factory VW in Slovakia in 2011. The novelty estimated cost will make 7,3 thousand euro.

Besides it, company Skoda also works over a budgetary sedan which will receive a platform of model Octavia. It is expected, that such car will be offered only on emerging markets, for example, in India and China.
