Chevrolet Corvette C6.R GT2
The advanced version racing Corvette C6.R GT2 has appeared very opportunely, after all competitors among whom Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Viper, Panoz and, certainly, Ford, constantly modify the racing cars. From the standard version racing ZR1 has inherited a characteristic body, aluminium components in a frame and the chassis, and also the car has been converted according to class GT2. In Corvette C6.R GT2 there is a high-grade skeleton of safety, and brake and wheel disks are replaced by sports analogues.And here under cowl Corvette C6.R GT2 takes places 6,0-L V8 power only 470HP, instead of 638 forces as in civil ZR1, but it quite suffices for successful rivalry. The car is intended only for professional racing competitions, therefore in sale will not arrive. But as the history shows, already after couple of years C6.R GT2 risks to appear at auction and to fall into in private hands as was, for example, with Corvette C5.R.
