Shelby has shown GT500

Company Shelby Automobiles has presented the 540-strong tuning version of the updated coupe and cabriolet Ford Mustang which has received traditional name GT500 and has been created in cooperation with division "Ford" Special Vehicle Team (SVT). About it it's told in a studio communique.

In comparison with the base version charged Ford Mustang to look became more aggressive. The novelty had a new front bumper with the big air intake, other radiator enclosure on which the logo with the image of a cobra for improvement of cooling of the motor has been displaced aside. Also GT500 has received other cowl with the vent holes, the traditional two light strips which are passing on all length of a body, and also the front and rear spoilers considerably improving clamping force of the car.

Rear-drive Ford Shelby GT500 it's equipped by the 540-strong eight-cylinder 5,4-litre engine with a mechanical supercharger who will work together with a six-step mechanical gear box. Dynamic characteristics of such car yet are not informed, however under assumptions of some western editions, speedup from 0 to 100 km/h will occupy from a novelty less than 4 seconds. We will notice that the motor previous Ford Shelby GT500, constructed on base old Mustang, developed on 40HP less.

Charged Mustang also has received the new final system, the modernised suspender finished by experts SVT, the recustomized steering and new 19-inch wheel disks from an aluminium alloy with tyre covers Goodyear (on cabriolet GT500 18-inch wheels will be established).
