On Monday the British edition Car has published the first espionage photos of a compact crossover of company Land Rover which is tested now in a Nurnburgring. The novelty will be created in stylistics of concept car LRX for the first time presented in last year on a motor show in Detroit, — the concept car will receive a platform of crossover Freelander and begins to be on sale under brand Range Rover.

In pictures so-called "mule" is presented — under a body usual Freelander (the truth, slightly truncated in a back part) units of new model disappear. The test prototype is equipped by the two-litre petrol engine, however for the serial car will be offered as ecologically pure units still smaller volume with level of emissions CO2 about 150 grammes on kilometre, and a hybrid power-plant with the electromotor.
It's expected, that the debut serial Range Rover LRX will take place in summer of next year and will be dated for 40th anniversary of the British brand. Release of a new crossover starts in the beginning of 2011.
The order of the British government
On working out of this model company Land Rover has received earlier from the government of the Great Britain of 27 million pounds sterling. The organisation of manufacture of the car at the British enterprise was one of conditions of reception of this sum, that, according to officials, should keep workplaces in crisis.
