On Thursday in company McLaren Automotive headquarters in the British city of Uoking, supercar MP4-12C presentation has taken place.

With 0 to 100 km/h the novelty will be dispersed less than for three seconds, and to 200 km/h — for 10 sec. For comparison, acceleration till same speed at supercars Porsche 911 Turbo S, Ferrari 458 Italia and Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera for 10,8, 10,4 and 10,2 seconds accordingly.

The dimensional length of the British supercar makes 4507 mm, width — 1908 mm, and height — 1199 mm. The weight of the car is equal to 1300 kgs, that on 80 kgs it is less, than at one of basic competitors McLaren MP4-12C — Ferrari 458 Italia.

In a motor compartment of a novelty the 7-cylinder petrol engine with a corner of disorder of cylinders of 90 degrees and two turbines, developed by company Ricardo is located. The transmission has some operating modes: "normal", "sports", "winter", completely automatic and Launch Control.

Besides it, McLaren MP4-12C will receive an active back spoiler which can act in a role of an air brake, the adjustable shock-absorbers supervised by electronics, and the carbon-ceramic brake mechanisms offered as an option.

To autodealers (all them will be 35 — in the USA, the Great Britain, Germany, Asia, Europe, and also in the Near East) supercars will arrive in the beginning of 2011. Novelty cost in the British market will make 175,000 pounds sterling.
