MG have launched a special edition for their 6 hatchback, predictably called the BTCC Edition.
On the outside these include a matt black roof and 18-inch alloy wheels with black gloss sills shod in Dunlop tires size 225/45, door mirror covers, lower front air dam, rear bumper and rear spoiler and the choice of Arctic White or Union Blue paint finishes.
It uses a 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol engine that develops 158bhp – enough to get the MG6 from 0-62mph in 8.4 seconds and on to an electronically limited 120mph top speed.
Interior changes are limited but the model comes nicely equipped with sport seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and GPS navigation.

2013 Geneva Motor Show: Swiss car visionary Rinspeed intends to revolutionize urban traffic
"microMAX" - my, your, our car!
In addition to mountains, chocolate and watches the Swiss are world-famous for their innovative urban transportation concepts. However, "microMAX" and its creator Frank M. Rinderknecht, boss of Rinspeed, the Swiss powerhouse for ideas, set out to revolutionize short-distance transport: "microMAX" - presented at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, March 7th through the 17th - intends to merge personal and public transportation in particularly clever fashion. Rinderknecht explains: “Modern ride share centers nowadays are web-based or Smartphone-based. They operate in real time: You need to go to work on a regular basis or want to go somewhere right now and in no time at all you find the driver that’ll give you a ride. "microMAX" with its unique upright seats is the perfect ‘thing’ for swift short-distance transfers - the car to go with the app.”
My, your, our car. "microMAX" from the Swiss car visionary defines an entirely new class of vehicles. With a length of 3.6 meters, equivalent to that of a BMW Mini, “microMAX” not only offers plenty of space for the driver, three passengers and a stroller or shopping cart, it also provides the desired privacy. The vehicle height of 2.2 meters permits the installation of comfortable and space-saving upright seats equipped with safety belts - but above all, affords an outstanding sense of spaciousness with homey lounge character. A coffee maker, a refrigerator for the passengers’ happy-hour drinks and unlimited connectivity for entertainment purposes or for working while on the move are also included. Rinderknecht states: "microMAX" aims to encourage potential passengers to get in and ride because it is extremely convenient and simple.” And every passenger decreases CO2 emissions and costs - even the number of traffic jams falls.
It goes without saying that "microMAX" is an all-electric vehicle. Various equipment modules, for example for craftsmen or delivery services, make the space saver extremely versatile. Because, even though “microMAX” can be “your taxi” or “your bus” every now and then, the short four-wheeled friend first and foremost wants to be one thing: your car.
