Earlier the company declared the beginning of works on the supercar which could become the ideological successor of model NSX: it was planned, that this model will be with engine V10. However because of crisis the further development of the project has been "frozen".Which power-plant will receive future supercar Honda it's not specified yet. "I hope, once we will have free money and the necessary technologies, and we will make the sports car under mark Honda which will symbolise our technological progress", — the director of the Japanese company has noted.
It's necessary to note, what exactly Takanobu Ito in 1990 was the developer of the unique aluminium chassis for Honda NSX, and chief executive Honda Ito became only in June of this year.
Meanwhile, competitor Honda — company Toyota — on a motor show in Tokyo has presented own supercar with motor V10. Lexus LFA it is equipped by the 560-strong atmospheric engine and it can be dispersed from 0 to 100 km/h for 3,7 sec. Toyota plans to make only such 500 similar cars at the price from $375,000US for a copy.
