Buick has shown the first hybrid crossover
Company Buick has extended the first official preview trailer of new model which, according to representatives of a motor-car manufacturer, becomes the first-ever "connected" hybrid crossover which has arrived in bulk selling. Originally such car should become Saturn Vue, however in connection with re-structuring General Motors mark Saturn leaves structure of concern and will carry over the largest dealer network GM in America — companies Penske Automotive.
However, first time is planned to sell new crossover Buick only in versions with traditional motors of internal combustion — without a hybrid power-plant.
Hybrid updating will appear only in 2011 and will receive the six-cylinder petrol unit in volume of 3,6 litres, two electromotors and the complete set lithium-ionic of batteries. On electrodraught such car can exclusively pass about 16 kilometres, and the full charge of accumulators from the usual house socket is realizable for 4-5 hours.
In the USA petrol versions of new crossover Buick will go on sale next year.
Also cars will be offered 2,4 and 3,0-litre engines with direct injection of the fuel, developing 182 and 264 horsepowers accordingly.
