Earlier to put Chevrolet Camaro Convertible on the conveyor it was planned in the end of 2010, however because of financial problems at GM and probable, for that moment, bankruptcies of the supplier of developing roofs, realisation of this project should be stopped for uncertain term. Now the supplier continues the work and has already concluded the new contract with GM. It is expected, that manufacture of the open version coupe Camaro will be adjusted at factory Chevrolet in Canada where about 100,000 cars in a year are planned to collect.

The commodity cabriolet will receive a soft developing roof and will be offered from six- or eight-cylinder by petrol engines power of 304 and 426HP accordingly.

It is necessary to notice, that the beginning of manufacture of one more, the most powerful, updating of model Camaro — Z28 is at present postponed. As it was informed earlier, car working out for which it is spent about 50 million dollars, is already practically complete, but at GM now there are not enough means for end of the project, car and start operational development in a batch production. Charged cabriolet coupe Camaro should was receive 556-strong 6,2-litre V8 with a mechanical supercharger from sedan Cadillac CTS-V.
